Little Art Explorer 48
Each month, children explore a new Theme World as part of a year-long creative journey through 12 themed worlds.
Guided by questions and imagination, they engage in sensory play, drawing, painting, and clay activities, expressing their ideas freely through art.
1. Color Wonderland
In this theme, children explore the world of color through storytelling, drawing, and hands-on sensory experiences. Each activity invites them to mix, touch, and imagine colors, expressing their ideas in their own unique way.
The My Rainbow clay activity is also available as a kit, allowing children to continue creating and telling their own stories at home.
2. Animal Safari
In this theme, children begin by reading stories about animals from the jungle and savanna.
They explore and draw animals, then create their own environments where these animals live.
As they build their jungle or savanna in 3D, children bring their animals to life and step into their own imagined animal world.
The Animal Friend drawing activity is also available as a hands-on kit, helping children draw animals easily using simple shapes.
3. Little Art Museum
In this theme, children explore the works of Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Wassily Kandinsky, and Henri Matisse.
Through a variety of materials and techniques—including acrylic painting, oil pastels, sewing, and collage—they interpret each artist’s work in their own unique way.
This Kandinsky Canvas felt sewing kit, inspired by Wassily Kandinsky’s Squares with Concentric Circles, reimagines the artwork through felt and simple stitching, inviting children to explore color, form, and texture through hands-on creation.
4. Spring Nature Art
In this theme, children explore spring through nature-inspired art activities.
They observe and draw flowers, experiment with leaf stamping and frottage, and create paper flowers and insect designs—developing both observation skills and creative expression.
This Flower Bouquet kit invites children to fold paper flowers and create a bouquet to express their feelings to someone special.
Through exploring shape and color, they experience a warm and meaningful creative process.
5. All About Me
In this theme, children discover and express who they are through a variety of creative art experiences.
They explore emotions through colors and facial expressions, create a clay self-portrait, design their names to reflect their personality and story, and transform their handprints into representations of their interests, strengths, and dreams.
This My Clay Portrait air-dry clay kit invites children to closely observe their own faces and recreate them with clay. Through the process of building a three-dimensional self-portrait, children explore shape, texture, and their own unique identity through hands-on creation.
6. Under the Sea
In this theme, children imagine the mysterious world under the sea and express ocean creatures, colors, movement, and stories through art.
Through drawing, making, and mixed-media activities, children naturally develop imagination, observation skills, and creative expression.
This Shiny Fish: Vinyl Art Kit invites children to create their own sparkling fish using a new material. Children explore the texture and shiny effect of the material as they complete their own special underwater friend.
7. Summer Splash Art
In this theme, children experience the cool and playful sensations of summer through art.
Through cold colors, water movement, bubbles, jelly-like textures, and splashy water play, children see, touch, feel, and express themselves freely. Through a variety of sensory art activities, they naturally develop imagination, creativity, observation skills, sensory awareness, and creative expression.
This Ice Painting Kit invites children to explore cool colors and changing sensory materials through open-ended artmaking.
As they observe color, movement, and texture, children create artwork inspired by glaciers and imaginary stories.
8. STEAM Art
In this theme, children creatively explore the connections between art, science, light, optical illusions, shapes, and structures.
Through experimental art activities, children observe and express changes in color and light, material reactions, and the relationship between flat shapes and three-dimensional forms while developing curiosity, problem-solving skills, spatial awareness, and creative thinking.
This theme’s Shapes 2D to 3D: Spatial Thinking Kit invites children to explore how flat shapes can become three-dimensional structures through drawing, building, and observation.
9. World Culture Art
In this theme, children take a creative journey around the world as they explore culture and art from different countries.
Through art experiences inspired by Korea, the United States, Italy, India, and more, children discover cultural symbols, colors, forms, stories, and artistic traditions. Through the process, they naturally develop cultural curiosity, observation skills, creative expression, and respect for diversity.
This theme’s Harmony in Ink : Korean Fan Art Kit invites children to create artwork inspired by the beauty of traditional Korean fans. Children explore Korean culture and artistic expression as they complete their own fan artwork.
10. Fall Festival Art
In this theme, children explore the colors, nature, symbols, and festive feeling of fall through creative art experiences.
Through dots, patterns, natural materials, dimensional making, and printmaking, children express their own fall-inspired stories while developing observation skills, imagination, sensory awareness, composition skills, and creative expression.
This theme’s Pumpkin Lantern: Air-Dry Clay Kit invites children to create their own pumpkin lantern inspired by the colors and atmosphere of fall. The finished piece can be displayed as a seasonal decoration.
11. Creative Fantasy World
In this theme, children express their own fantasy world by creating imaginary characters, secret places, and magical spaces.
Through character creation, world-building, dimensional craft, and storytelling, children naturally develop imagination, storytelling skills, self-expression, and creative thinking.
